One of the most relaxing and tranquil weekends away I have had - Lake Windermere. We ventured to the Lake District to break up the length of the London winter, and found ourselves here. There was a lot of fog/low cloud, so it was very mystique as we discovered the little town on the lakes' edge.
One of the most relaxing and tranquil weekends away I have had - Lake Windermere. We ventured to the Lake District to break up the length of the London winter, and found ourselves here. There was a lot of fog/low cloud, so it was very mystique as we discovered the little town on the lakes' edge.
It was the perfect weekend for long walks into the countryside and take in all the fresh air, escaping the hustle and bustle that is London. We did just that, followed by early evenings relaxing in our hotel day spa - spa, massage and saunas.
The Lake District is an easy getaway for London dwellers, a short train trip and an easy taxi to your destination will have you there in a matter of hours.
