Have you ever found yourself giving some empowering advice to a friend, a colleague or family member? And while you're changing the world one deep & meaningful conversation at a time you're thinking 'wow this is great advice, I've really missed my calling as a therapist' - but at the same time kind of dying inside thinking 'GF - who do you think you are, Oprah? You don't even listen to it yourself!'
It got me thinking about the advice I would give myself (if I took the chance to get back in my box and put on my advice-receiving hat), and came up with a few things I wish I'd known before self-discovering at the prime, ripe age of 32 ;)

(Read from inside my box, with my hat on):
- Glass half full - not empty. Look at the 70% full, not the 30% empty
- Speak out about what's important to you - follow your intuition
- Family is super important. Don't be a brat (sorry Mum and Dad)
- Stop trusting those that don't deserve it, or continue to break it
- Friends are a reflection of your best self. Invest in those true goodies
- Less is more. You have a million-and-one pairs of shoes, the next pair won't define you
- Accept change, embrace it for what it is
- Boys can be arseholes - choose them wisely
- Do things that scare you
- Saving is smart. It's called adulting. See point 6
- Eat the cake. One piece will NOT make you fat
- It's OK to be alone
- Time is precious and a great healer, trust the process
- Be kind, always
- Your happiness is your number one priority
